OCTOBER!

From TRANSPLANTS and SETS:

CONTINUE PLANTING these overwintering COOL WEATHER CROPS  every two to four weeks till mid December (except Brussel Sprouts where one planting is enough) to assure a continuous supply of fresh ripe vegetables. This is known as "Succession Planting":

Note:

PLANT HERBS, as well: parsley, sage, cilantro, dill, fennel,  and thyme.

IMPORTANT GARDENING TASKS FOR OCTOBER:

Gather pine needles which are falling for natural mulch.

When gardeners garden, it is not just plants that grow, but the gardeners themselves. --
