Weather varies from year to year so deciding when to plant vegetables is a bit of a balancing act. Planting too early or late in the season exposes crops to damage from extreme temperatures or pests and diseases.
A general rule of thumb for longest harvest and best production is to plant as EARLY in the season as is safely possible. But be prepared to protect Cool Weather Crop seedlings from the heat and pests and Warm Weather Crop seedlings from frost.
